Bedford OB Coach

REGISTRATION NO. ACC 629

Delivered in 1950 to an Anglesey coach operator, Bibby's Bedford OB then found its way to the Channel Islands.  It was later sold to a company in the Leeds area and its penultimate home was with Blue Band Motors of Lockerbie, Scotland.

Fred Bibby bought the vehicle in 1975 and drove it to Ingleton, where it still is today.  It is PSV MOT tested every December and is in excellent working condition.

Seddon Lorry

REGISTRATION NO. YAT 221

Our Seddon Lorry was purchased in 1965 for £100.00 from a garage in Hull, being previously owned and run by Spillers Animal Foods.  This was one of a batch of 4 being sold at the time.  YAT 221 had a re-conditioned engine, 6 new Michelin X tyres and was thought to be a good buy at £100.

It was driven by Mr Fred Bibby until 1969 and at the age of 17, Peter Bibby took over the driving as it was under 3 tons unladen weight.  When plating and test came in it was plated for 10 tons gross.

Peter drove the Seddon for 12 years and it was worked until 1981 hauling firewood, sawdust and shavings from saw mills in the Lancashire towns of Burscough, Farington and Bamber Bridge to various locations in the North West.

YAT 221 is in the same condition now as it was in its working life.  It hasn't been refurbished or rebuilt.
