Included is a visit to Greenway, the former home of Agatha Christie.
Monday 15 March
We travel via the main roads and motorways to Paignton for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Palace Hotel.
Tuesday 16 March
Morning visit to Totnes a special and unique market town with an eclectic mix of market goods, fine arts, antiques and antiquarian books. Afternoon free in Paignton.
Wednesday 17 March
Today we visit Agatha Christie’s Greenway House at Galmpton, Near Brixham. After a multi million pound refurbishment by the National Trust, Greenway House is finally open to visitors for the first time and is now a legacy for everyone to enjoy. Agatha Christie lived at Greenway for 38 years after buying the house in 1938 and making it her summer home. The house and glorious woodland gardens ooze with an atmosphere of romantic wilderness. You are transported to Greenway by ferry on the River Dart.
Thursday 18 March
Full day exploring Dartmoor National Park and the charming market town of Tavistock with its interesting architecture and many shops.
Friday 19 March
Reluctantly we leave Paignton and return north via the main roads and motorways. Arrive home early evening.
