The Irish always have a song in their heart and music in their soul, in pubs and bars they will often strike up a tune and sing songs of their homeland. We are pleased to offer this short break to Carlow which is one of Ireland’s smallest towns, it offers rural charm within easy reach of Dublin & the Wicklow Mountains. We also include 3 excursions one of them includes a visit to the Irish National Stud, which has produced many world-class racehorses and in the same location are the exotic Japanese Gardens. An added value Irish Short Break.
Sunday 10 April
We journey to Holyhead to board the early afternoon conventional Stena Line ferry to Dublin. We then transfer to Carlow for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Seven Oaks Hotel.
Monday 11 April
Today’s excursion is to the heritage town of Kilkenny and the Port of New Ross, there will be an optional visit to the Dunbrody Famine Ship. This evening after dinner we enjoy traditional Irish music in the bar.
Tuesday 12 April
Today we visit the Irish national Stud, home to some of Ireland’s finest thoroughbreds. The land also incorporates the world famous Japanese Gardens. Tonight after dinner we include entry to the hotel dance club, which takes place in the ballroom.
Wednesday 13 April
Enjoy this Irish scenic experience, through lush idyllic landscape to the Wicklow Mountains, Wicklow Gap, Glendalough, Avoca and meeting of the waters with a short stop at Altamont Gardens.
Thursday 14 April
After breakfast we enjoy a short guided tour of Dublin and Pheonix Park before travelling to Dublin Port for our afternoon Irish Swift ferry to Holyhead. Arrive home mid evening.
